Dog and Bone Wetsuit VS Lunatik Aquatik(IP 6)

Evening guys,

Anyone have any experience with Dog and Bone Wetsuit water proof case(https://www.dogandbonecases.com/pro...ed/wetsuit-iphone-6-waterproof-rugged-case/)? Looks like it was just released on 25th of November.

I realize Lunatik Aquatik(https://www.lunatik.com/products/iphone-6/aquatik?variant=black) isn't out yet, and probably won't be until early next year but...I really don't want to have to buy more than one of these cases.

Aquatik looks slimmer and more well designed than Dog and Bone? Anyone have any experience with Dog and Bone on iPhone 5s or anything previous?

Yes, I realize Lufeproof is popular for waterproof cases but I have pretty much decided I won't support LifeProof... Conversation not for here nor there.

Please advise?

lunatik last product was horrible. Dog and bone looks good though, would love to see some more reviews.

We can def use more competition/options when it comes to water proof cases!

I can't specific dimensions for Aquatik but it looks like Wetsuit is SLIGHTLY thicker than Lifeproof. 13.8mm D&B vs 11.2mm LP.

Agree though. I can't find a online review for Dog Bone anywhere online for iPhone 6.
 
That Dog and Bone case looks nice! Would be interesting to see a real word review of it.

Has their wetsuit case been out for other models? This is the first I've really heard of them... but they claim to have been the first "topless" water protective case. The Lifeproof Nuud series I'm quite familiar with, this one is new to me.

I welcome some good competition in this field. And I might have to buy one for my wife's 6+ if it gets released before the Lifeproof model.

Yea I think they made wetsuit for 5/5s. I hadn't heard of them until earlier today myself. If quality is there I'm cool with whatever price > supporting Lifeproof. I definitely think some competition in 4 proof market will make things interesting. At this rate, 8+ liable to be here before Nuud for 6+

Yea, I am myself waiting for real life review of one of these. I think I like Lunatik Aquatik looks the best of the lot, & color choices but isn't "nude.". But the Dog and Bone looks extremely promising. Buy one and test it out for us??

 
Looks like a nice case. On their Facebook page they're saying maybe a week or so until they announce the release date for their 6+ case. Lifeproof still hasn't provided even a clue of when they're planning on releasing theirs - just the same canned non-responses every time somebody asks.

I like the Lifeproof cases and have used them on my last 2 iPhones, but the Dog and Bone looks like a good product, is less expensive and may be out sooner. They also seem more responsive to customer inquiries on their Facebook page. If they beat Lifeproof to the market, I'll be buying their case instead.

No reviews of the iPhone 6 case yet, but they have links to several reviews of older models on their website.
 
Lifeproof has done their launch... So horrendous.

I really REALLY want to try a Dog and Bone.

Another choice, a RedPepper case. Didn't know they made them for IP6. Had one old Note 3. Didn't use it daily, but never had problems out of it.

RedPepper looks super slim. Wonder if it would be a good choice, or perfect case of you "get what you pay for"??

I think I'm going to order and try "Merit" version of RedPepper Case. $25 so if it stinks(or sinks) at least I'm not out what a lifeproof would cost... Lol
 
My wife has the Otterbox Preserver for iPhone 5S. Love the case....but absolutely hate the phone is barely usable for voice calls. Opening the flap on the bottom permits one to speak and outgoing voice quality is okay, but the incoming voice quality from the earpiece just sucks. The speakerphone function works well both ways, but who wants to talk on speaker phone all the time.

Any input from others about how the earpiece volume is on these case options?
 
Do these "nude" waterproof cases work when you have a glass screen protector on the phone?

And Lifeproof says not to use one with their Nuud case. They include some kind of plastic screen protector with it though, so I'd imagine that if you could find a glass one of similar thickness it would work.
 
i got a redpepper last week, it passed the water test i did it two times. also look on ebay they have it for 15, heres some pics sorry for crap quality i had to use a webcam to take the pics

Doesn't look too bad, especially for $15. can you link me to the exact one you got? It seems that there are only a few that are genuine, and not any white or black available which I wanted, I guess green doesn't look too bad.

Amazon has RedPepper in stock in black and white. From what I've read, Levin and Merit are both the same thing produced by RedPepper. In fact someone on Amazon did a review and was mad because they bought a RedPepper and received Levin.
 
I ordered a Redpepper last night. Hopefully it works well. I received my Love Mei aluminum gorilla glass monstrosity yesterday, it was ok but way too big! Already took it off and listed it on eBay. I was really surprised at the call quality and touch screen though, worked great!

I think the Love Mei would hold up really well. Only issues could be the charge port cover (kinda flimsy) and the headphone jack cover (seemed a lil flimsy) but if you were careful with those areas I think it'd be fine. The case really felt sturdy, seemed like it could take a serious beating. Overall it was a cool case at a great price. I bet you'd never see another on someone else's phone so that'd be cool too.

Yea interested in hearing about RP case. Wondering how sound and mic will be. Love mei is just TOO much beast lol
