Doing weird stuff on SL 10.6 on Mail with GMAIL- I had around 6k messages on it---

I followed this on Mail to move all the IMAP folders onto desktop to test it to see if it fixed it.

My inbox only has 1700 messages now, and before I had a TON. It was way easier to search through it for an email I need.

Can I fix this somehow? Its also doing this same thing as my work IMAP from my website through. Same thing, It lost over than a couple thousand messages and now it says I have 200 messages now. So weird.

I've been trying this on my Macbook Pro, and my Desktop too.

So, I'm still figuring this. Anyone??

I'm thinking it's archiving or something. So I can't searching my emails on apple mail. Hmm. This makes it annoying.
