Hi i am wondering is the new Macmini M2 Pro capable via HDMI which is now 2.1 of sending Dolby Atmos to a compatible AVR Receiver.

I have a Sony Bravia TV connected to a Denon AVR,when i playback a movie/tv show on HBO/Netflix apps etc that has an Atmos track it will show up on the Denon as such, having passthrough enabled on the tv.

On the Apple site under Audio Playback -
  • Supported formats include AAC, MP3, Apple Lossless, FLAC, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos
  • Built-in speaker
  • 3.5mm headphone jack with advanced support for high-impedance headphones
  • HDMI port supports multi-channel audio output

I have read one online post where it says its not possible on the mini https://www.techradar.com/news/4k-h...i-m2-pro-might-be-ideal-for-your-home-theater

Other posts i saw on Reddit etc say it is possible,so if anybody on here that purchased the new mini that connects it to an avr could check or anyone knowledgeable in this field could help me,i would be greatly appreciative.

Thank you.
