It's been happening since updating to 18.4.1.

If I force quit the Home App in my phone and re open it again, I am able to keep Dolby Atmos on, but only for a few hours.

Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I haven’t seen this one... yet It appears to remain on for me but toggles in the Home app have had a mind of their own for a few years now. Alarms toggles were driving me crazy for a while.

I´ve kind of given up at this point... it´s puzzling to me that they are seeminglly incapable of writing decent software for HomeKit or for their smart speakers. And yet, I have Homepods since 2018, bought the new generation recently (another stereo pair), and also have a couple of Homepod Minis. Why? Because the sound tech and quality in relation to the form factor. In that sense, they are fantastic.

But the software and Siri... that is as terrible as it was back in 2018.

They need to do something about it before they stop to release software updates for the first gen Homepods (which remarkably are still getting updates)

I’m going to start dabbling in Home Assistant. Going to use that as my backend and HomeKit on the front end. See if that helps any on the HomeKit side.

FWIW, and I know I’m going to jinx myself here but I’ve switched to a UniFi network about a year ago and the HomePods (including Siri) have been pretty stable. They let you lock the client (HomePod) to a specific AP and they get really good WiFi signals. When I had eero, the HomePods would roam their way to an AP on the other side of the house and that would destroy everything.

I also just created separate IoT 2.4 and 5 GHz networks with firewalls. Haven’t migrated anything over yet but hopefully that will help too.
