Hello forum

I've just bought mbp 15" 2.5GHz (it does supports Opitcal Out port)
so I plugged the particular optical cable for it (3.5m to a regular Optical Out end)

whatever thing I play DVDs/AVI(AC-3)/iTunes, the only thing I see on my compact HomeTheater LCD screen is Dolby ProLogic

I don't see any of Dolby Digital/DTS (I've just tried my PS2, GTA game with DTS and worked perfectly...)

is there any tips&suggestions

Regards,

What application(s) are you using to play your media?

Does your AV receiver, or whatever you're using, have a decoder built in?

it worked, my hometheater system detected the Dolby Digital Signal coming from the mbp but only using VLC Player software, Apple DVD and QT doesn't do that...

is there any way to export DD/DTS via QT or DVD? (I have VLC GUI, it stinks)
