Hey everyone, I was just wondering if it is possible to buy a domain name, then use a free web host to upload your website. If so, which is the best web host to use?

Thanks

Never mind, I figured it out, it is possible to buy a domain name and use a free web host. (webs.com for example has this option).

I would not use a web host service to buy a domain. Its better to buy it from a different registrar.

If you ever decide to leave the web host, transferring the registration can be problematic.

+1

Happens way too often.

Also, don't let a programmer, designer, etc. that you hire register a domain for you. Do it yourself. Otherwise, you might find that the domain name is registered to them. This gets newbies all the time.

Ok, noted, does anyone like webs.com as a webhost? which site should I use to buy a domain name?
