Dongle help please

A family member ( college Student ) is getting a MacBook Air 15". They are not doing anything high tech with it, just typical student work, internet, printing, note taking, ect. I would like to get them a dongle. Anyone have any good experiences/recommendations for a good first dongle with the MacBook Air ? Thank you.

I would just get something cheap like this. I never felt the need to use a dongle because everything I do is wireless. Maybe if I had a camera with SD cards or needed to connect to an external monitor.
