Do you really think it's possible they close all of their stores in a week? I don't think it works that way.

I may be wrong but doesn't filing for bankruptcy basically protect someone or in this case a business so they can continue to operate. I don't think it's common to see a business file for bankruptcy and then close right away.

Bankruptcy protects the company from creditors, the consumer is not protected, in fact they're so far down the line that if they liquidate you'll not see any money (assuming you order a phone and don't receive it).

The article says Q2 results were posted today. To assume that they're going to close the company down and shut all of their stores in 8 days is ridiculous.

I expect a better quality of posts from a moderator.

I never went to Radioshack why? everything was over-priced.

They never changed so they deserve to be closed.. just my opinion.

But not unheard of. Crumbs Bakeshop announced bankruptcy and shuttered all their stores on the same day.

Though doubt Radioshack would be going that route...

They've changed quite a bit, with new lines of products and some Radio Shack specialty stores. But even with a clever Superbowl ad it seems they haven't been able to get the attention of consumers and explain what they offer over online and big box retailers, not to mention Apple stores.
