Don't know how many songs in iTunes

Today, I run my upgraded iTunes and want to count the songs in it. Usually, I will read the number at the bottom of windows directly. Then I will know the exact number of my songs. However, I drag the scroll to the bottom ,I can't find the number and I have no idea of my songs. To be honest, the newest iTunes makes me uncomfortable and I like the earlier version much more, especially for the cover flow. Now it disappears along with the song number.
Anyone have the same question as mine?

The song number didn't disappear - it's probably just hidden. Check your listing options.
