so my question is - who's at work right now and who keeps clicking the ol' check for update button?

i brought my macbook to work specifically to get the update ASAP!

Haha, they don't really care around here. In fact, since we revolve around iPhone development sort of, this is a momentous occasion!

I'm at home recovering from surgery, but my network at work is tightly controlled. No chance anyone is checking there.

HAHA
Yeah I'm at work, but sadly, if I brought my MBP and laid it out on my desk, that alone would get me in a bit of trouble (no personal comps in my office, unless the boss tells you to use it for something), so I've just been keeping my eye on the forums. :(

That actually almost didn't stop me though, I was still gonna bring my laptop but the problem is, no wifi! haha.

Oh well, I can wait till I get home.

If I were you I would let her know right when it releases. Might get you some recognition haha.

Yeah haha, cause nothing turns a woman on more than a nerd anxiously awaiting the second in which a software update gets released.

I know, I've tried... :(

If I was at work and couldn't check for updates, I'd just wait til I got home to read the forums. No sense in slowing the day even more by KNOWING the release is out and can't do anything about it.

I spent about 5 minutes writing this app for myself, b/c iTunes is acting stupid for me. Probably 'cause I was installing and uninstalling different versions to try to get MMS earlier.

A lot easier.

Me too. I had my surgery yesterday and i'm off work till friday. 3.0 couldn't have come out at a better time for me. :D

So i've got my laptop next to my bed with my iPhone hooked up to it just waiting for that first second it becomes available so i can download it

Can I update my OS at work even though the iPhone normally syncs to my home PC? I won't lose anything (apps, songs, etc.), correct?

I'm assuming I can't write a backup to my work PC first, though I did a backup at home so I should be ok.

I tell you this much: Vicodin, Pepsi Max, and SpongeBob make an interesting mix.

Should have put a counter on it, I wanna know how many times you've clicked "check" hah

I just keep this site up, soon as you guy as it's up, I will hook up my MacBook and it a go. Plus my boss as a iphone, but he is out of town on business he keeps texting me asking is it ready yet.

As the boss it's difficult to keep my employees from seeing me check for updates. They keep wondering why I am closing the door to my office every 30 minutes.

wonder what spongebob mixed with vicodin is like lol. Unfortunately I have oxycodone for my situation.

Well i wish u a speedy recovery and a speedy 3.0 download and install. :)

Oh. They gave me Hydrocodone. It's the generic name for Lorcet, Lortab, Norco, and Vicodin. I wish speedy recovery to you as well. Hopefully, the 3.0 download will be speedier. ;)
