Drive off with your iphone on her car hood. OUCH

So I do have a question. After spending 2 hours on the side of the road looking for the iphone, does anyone make an app that would locate an iphone. Something you could email to the phone and see where it is? Not sure if its possible but would be cool. I know that you can do it from another iphone, but what about from another source. If its not an app it needs to be.

Looks like I'm out 200 bucks...

Have you tried calling it?

Yeah, but the road was a very busy road and it was impossible to hear it until 10:00 at night when traffic slowed down. It does still work, but it sucks to have something so beautiful get so smashed.

List it on eBay as 'near mint iphone with barely noticeably (only visible at an angle in bright sunlight) minute scuff to bottom part of screen'.

Should do pretty well.

LOL :D I would definitely NOT bid on that.

Definitely get a iPhoneFax alert (like the carfax commercials)

"...cue clicking sound and text on screen"

Cracked Glass <backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace>Like new with minor scuff at bottom of screen.

I wonder if the new iPhone will be drive proof :). Wow, does it actually work or is it dead?

lol that sucks, it's still usable though. wait for new one in June and get that one, my screen is cracked also, but not that bad, but at about the same spot, left of the home button. =\

I never set things on my car roof. Bad habit :p

But then again, my car roof is glass so I could see it sitting there... I could also see it flying off lol.

Anyone else half-expecting the end of the title to be...

"...look through your recent calls and text messages. Now she knows I have a girlfriend on the side :("

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend and companion.

I agree with the consensus here though, if you did find it...and it's just held together by pieces...atleast try to sell it as a "parts only" phone.

Who knows what kind of frankenphone someone could wrangle out of your pieces. :D

My husband is always putting things down at random locations...periodically I have to go around and collect like items into small piles so when he asks where something is, he doesn't go into a rampage tearing apart the rest of the house. :p
Mostly it's tools though, and not a phone. I think we have something like 4 hammers, 3 tape measures, and lord knows how many screw drivers.

Good luck with your next one.

eBay that sonofagun and then get your wife a nice gift. She probably feels worse than you do. :D

Yeah, I'm thinking of trying to fix the screen myself. I have watched a few youtube videos and now i'm an expert! I can get all the parts for around $50 so that way I can see what apple will do in June and not have to buy 2 phones.
