An Apple Store Tech told me his watch needed to be sent in because he attempted to restore his iPhone during the pairing process with his Apple Watch.

He said that doing this will brick the Apple Watch and that it will need to be sent in for repair. It's a software related issue.

I've done dumb things before and figured to save everyone from making that mistake.

I can't see anyone doing this, but what would happen if during the inital sync process, one happened to receive that text

I paired whilst still restoring this morning and it messed up iMessage. Had to wait for he restore to finish, then sign out of everything iCloud related on my phone, before signing back in again.

Kept getting "failed to sign in, please enter your iCloud password on your iPhone" until I did.
