After getting over my reluctance to rent music I finally gave Apple Music a try and found that is was pretty good after all.

So, I was happily streaming along to my favourite tunes this afternoon when the music suddenly stopped. After noticing my email and internet were also down I remembered BT were upgrading our works internet to fibre today. No problem I thought, I’ll plug my iPhone into my computer speakers. Then I remembered my phone hasn’t got a headphone socket.

After a quick rummage in my rucksack, i’m I’m happy to report my 13 year old Franken-iPod has saved the day :D

I have iPod touch 4th gen plus a strange acer MP330.

the acer has HDD but also supports host mode and can copy files to itself!
4th gen iPod used for internet radio mostly as old version iOS and limited apps working for it now.

I do not rent music.
I'll happily buy but not iTunes as cannot as easily put on SD card for car.
we all depend on the WWW too much.

once gone we are all helpless.
this is not good

Better yet. Keep a thumb drive with music on it. Most cars and aftermarket radios now have provisions for that, and most computers do too, aside from some late model macs...

Good find! :)

Can I ask, how it came to be a Pink mini with a green click wheel? :p

The click wheel was very cheap. :D
They aren’t that easy to get hold of anymore so I snapped up that one off eBay for a couple of quid with its wonky printing when the original pink one stopped working. There’s also a 128GB SD card inside instead of the standard 6GB HD.
