The slightly translucent plastic film wrap that your iPad Pro is in when you open the box is actually a terrific material to sketch on if you don't like the glass feel. It feels like mylar (perhaps it is), which is what architects used to draft on back in the days. Just put the iPad back into the plastic wrap and try sketching over it.
The Pencil feels fantastic across it and it doesnt seem to affect the sensitivity or touch of the display. It gives that slight 'grip' when you drag your Pencil across and actually feels like you are drawing on a sheet of mylar. And there is a second advantage: no fingerprints on the screen! When you are done, simply remove the plastic film and you have a pristine glass surface.
I am liking it so much that I may buy a roll of mylar so I can always have it on top of my iPP when I sketch for a long duration.
