im over quicktime...and i dont want itunes playing my movie files...what else is everyone using? any recommendations?
 
ok..thx for the quik reply....downloaded it, how do i make it the default player for movie files??

i checked in pref's, but i dont see the option anywhere, since im new to mac's...is there another place to make this happen?

Just right-click on the file you to play in VLC and go to "get info." In the info window use the drop down menu to choose VLC Player (if VLC doesn't show in the list go to "other" and find it manually). Finally click the 'change all" button. Now all files of that type will open with VLC.

well if you have 10.6 I like that quick time and i find it runs much better then vlc, but that is for me, and I use a video converter to make my clips play in quick time takes like a few minuets for a movie
