I have a 15" MBP and I am wanting to hook it up to a monitor along with all of my DJ and video editing equipment. What can I buy that will utilize my 2 usb and firewire ports that isn't that cheesy, overly-priced, bookendz docking station? Suggestions, links, personal experience and prices are much appreciated.

There aren't really any other alternatives. I wish Apple would make a docking connector of sorts... but they don't...

Mainly for the business class... they need that solution... plug their system in and get going... but it's not available... kind of annoying plugging everything in or using an ugly bookendz.

It honestly shouldn't be that hard to improve the design with a connector on the bottom : mini dvi, mini USB and a MBA like charger in one. C'mon!

Considering the age of the Alu design, you'd think they would start researching it.

I was afraid of that..... Thanks for the input guys. If anyone has any ideas or sees anythin that would work, please tell me.
