I just got off of the phone will Apple and the person I talked to was very suprised that they were becoming "Prepared for shipment." He said that if you get that status on your order status page, then your iPod touch is in a big box with other iPod's, waiting to be picked up and shipped out into the world. He said mine was the first one he had seen that had gone to that status (It changed last night). He also said that he thinks it will ship today. If it does not ship out today then it will ship on Monday. He said in his personal experience with Apple, a product has never stayed on a status of "Prepared to ship" for more than a day, then a truck picks it up and takes it out.
Like I said, I don't want to give anyone false hopes, but we can cross our fingers that ours will start to ship soon!
