I was ordering 2 books from Amazon, but I am only a few cents short for that $25 free shipping.

This happened to me a few times before and I still hate it every time it happens. I just wish I can pay $25 total to get that free shipping.

Just find something super cheap that will cost less than the shipping you would have paid. Buy some shampoo or something. You'll probably need it someday anyway.

I just ordered a couple books from Amazon and was about $3 short of free shipping but I didn't bother.

The free shipping takes a couple weeks usually, but if you pay, the cheapest shipping option will take a week at most. I ordered Tuesday night and my stuff should be here tomorrow. Free shipping might've been the end of next week if I was lucky.

I ordered something once from ebuyer.co.uk, paid for the next day delivery, all items were in stock (literally hundreds of each item I ordered), 4 days later I get an email saying one of my items had gone out of stock, and they were holding my order, I said that's a bit stupid, could I be refunded that item and my delivery charge, as I paid next day, and didn't get it, despite everything being well in stock when I ordered it, the next week, sure enough, I get refunded, just for my item though, then they also had the cheek to charge me again for delivery as with that one item taken off, I went under the order total for the standard free shipping, I rang them 5 times about this, but it never got sorted.

Wow I went into a long story then, sorry....
