I constantly go to check my recent call list when I'm on the phone but can't because the current call blocks it out.

I can see my recent calls while on the phone. Just hit the add call button and they should be there.

If it was there, I feel like you'd keep accidentally hitting it and come back asking why you need to be able to see recent calls while on a call.
