Hi
In my old alarm system I have magnetic door sensors with terminals where I connect a simple contact switch that I have build into my doorframe. That way the sensor detects if the door is locked or not. If the connected circuit is open the door is locked and vice versa.
I got the fibaro door/window sensor (cheap luckily) and pried one open to see if there was a place to solder on wires from the switch. Looks like it’s close to system-on-a-chip so no luck.
Is there any HomeKit devices out there with terminals or a place to solder on the wires so it can tell me if that circuit is open or closed?
I guess best guess is one of the other door sensors out there, but just buying them to pry them open and void warranty/return right is not really an option.
And yes. I’m aware of the various HomeKit locks out there but they are extremely clumsy and ugly. Not gonna put one of these on my pretty door ;-)
