dot mac trial - publishing problems

hi. yesterday i signed up for a trial dot mac account. i've tried publishing both a web page using iweb and a photo album using iphoto, neither has worked. in iweb, when i hit 'publish' it asks for my username and password and system prefs pops up and i enter them and nothing happens. when i hit the 'visit' button nothing happens. same story in iphoto... can anyone help? i thought the trial dot mac account was fully featured?

note: i'm using 10.5 with iphoto 08
