Okay, just got my first iphone. I was messing around with it, I have the fingerprint ID enabled. When I wake it up and double click the home button, it lets me right into the phone. What's the deal?

You don't have to double click. If you press the home button & leave your finger on the home button it will unlock. When you wake the device and place your finger on the touch id it will scan your finger. It's normal.

Lol. Some people with a not-so-sensitive fingerprint sensor would love to have your "issue."

It's normal but like above poster mentioned, you don't need to double click home button to activate sensor. Click and release home button but still leave your print on there and it will unlock the iPhone.

When you click it the first time it's waking it up and since you finger is still there it unlocked the phone. There's no need for double click.

First click wakes the phone.

By the time the 2nd click happens your fingertip has been read and unlocks the phone.

That's how fast it works.

Only one click is needed however.

I just double clicked it and was like WTF!!! But I realized the scanner works that quick....OP try double clicking with a non-scanned finger print. Its just amazingly fast

Means your scanner is working, and fast. :)
