Love the new iPhone 4 but hate that I can no longer just double-click the Home button to get to my Favorite phone numbers.

I used this feature A LOT (especially while driving) and I miss it terribly.

Anyone know if there's a workaround to make this feature function as it did before?

Thanks...

Only way to get the future back is to jailbreak. That's what I had to do because I was also used to that feature. I set the multitask bar as a long press of the home button and/or slide in from the bottom of the screen.

If you disable multitasking (must be jailbroken) you can set your double-click preferences to anything. That's what I did.

I don't see the multitask bar option in activator settings. Where did you find that option?

From Settings...

Activator -> Anywhere -> Slide In Gesture -> From Screen Bottom -> System Actions -> Activate Switcher

It doesn't have to be a Slide In Gesture, I think you can assign it to any of the Activator functions in the Anywhere category.

Oh Activate Switcher.
Thank you, I didnt know it was named that.
I was looking for multitask or something similar to that:D
Got it now.
I assigned it to home button short hold.

So then, is that the only way to get this feature back?

It has been decided by the great Jobs that you no longer need this feature. Are you really questioning his decision? You know what happens to people that questions the great Jobs don't you? Hrmmmm?

Why not just hold the home button and use voice to call people while in the car? Works great, and even broadcasts over my cars bluetooth.

Believe me, I know EXACTLY what you mean... and agree 100% :)

I've been doing that, but it sometimes calls someone else by mistake.
