This is annoying the heck out of me. For some reason on my lock screen and Home Screen an extra home bar has appeared!

It’s not a static element, fading in from the bottom of the screen when you return home. It doesn’t show up on the app switcher. When you use reachability it shrinks!

I cannot for the life of my figure out how this has activated or how to turn it off.

I’ve tried a restart. Assistive touch is turned off. I’ve googled it and not found an answer. I’ve not installed any updates and my 12 Max is on 18.3. I’m not on a beta.

Has anyone else come across this weird bug?

Is the wallpaper a screenshot? It sounds like the home bar is "burned in" on the wallpaper.

Amazingly it animates onto the bottom of the screen when you go home. It’s not static.

Right, but the whole wallpaper animates. The wallpaper zooms out a little bit when you go home, which gives the effect of the bar on the wallpaper scrolling/fading in from the bottom.

When you use reachability it shrinks!

It's "shrinking" here because the bar on the wallpaper is now hidden behind the app icons. You'll see the rest of the bar if you move the app icons by swiping the screen left or right.

Go customize your Lock Screen and pinch to zoom/move the wallpaper. Does the bar move with the wallpaper? If so, zoom in a little bit when setting the wallpaper to crop the bar out. And/or crop the photo in the Photos app if you have it in there too.

That worked! Zooming in a little on the Lock Screen edit got rid of it. Thanks 😊
