After updating to High Sierra I have to double login to the system. I tried to search the forum but it's not producing a result for me.

Anyone else had this issue?

I've tried it with FireVault ON and OFF. Still double login

Let me guess... when you installed you formatted the drive to APFS encrypted, then installed the OS? If so, that is your problem. You need to format the drive to just APFS (not encrypted) then install, then afterward turn in FileVault.

FileVault makes some changes to the boot process and the recovery partition so the issue you are having does not occur.

I just let the update run. When it finished there was the double login on cold reboots. Too much data on it and the time to reformat I don't have to spend doing it. I'll live with it if there is no simple few minute fix.
