My problem was solved by explanation below.




Hi!

I have both an iPhone 6S and an AWS and today I noticed I had to high step count. I went into health app and it shows basically double the steps (see the attachments for example).

Anyone had similar issues? I'm not really sure how reliable my other days are now since it might be doubling everything...

I'm not sure what you mean? Do you think the 56 step samples are incorrect? How do your totals for the day look?

Note that the watch and phone will show samples in your health app, so if that is what you are referring to as double steps, that is the way the samples work. The step counts for the day will show just one set though, generally using watch steps for time when both are active, but using iPhone steps if the watch was not active (but not both at the same times.)
