Double Tap and Notifications

I read that if you double tap when you get a message, it would open the message for you. This isn't working on my watch. I turned double tap off and on and restarted the watch, and that didn't help. Double tap is working in other ways though.

Am I wrong that it is supposed to actually open the message when you double tap? I wanted to see if this is working for others before I contact Apple support.

I have the same problem… i “solved” it with “off” - tap to show full notification under settings and notification in apple watch settings…

Yeah, I figured that out as well. Thanks for the reply. Not sure why I expected it to work without changing that. Apple could have mentioned it though.
