Double trade-in value at Walmart 10/5-11/1

Walmart is doubling trade-in values starting October 5th when you purchase an iPhone 6/6+. Doesn't match the carrier $200 iPhone 4 trade-in values, but definitely better for newer devices. My 64GB 5S Verizon clocks in at $300 so I would get a $600 trade-in value. You can check your trade-in value:

I'm just wondering if I can get a full-price Verizon phone from them without signing up for service?

my iPhone 5 is $150 so thats $300

sounds to good to be true.

can i do this for a t-mobile full price iPhone 6 plus?
 
Time will tell if Walmart will drop values when the promotion hits..
 
If your phone is valued at $100 or less, you'll get double that money (up to $200). Devices that are worth between $100 and $199 will net $200, while smartphones worth more than $200 will yield just the original trade-in amount. Your old handset's value will be assessed based on its condition.
 
Cool, Ill be able to get $10 for my 8GB 3GS.

I hope they don't drop the price because $460 for a 5S 16Gb sounds too good to be true.
 
If I can do a trade-in for a full price without a contract, I AM DOING IT!!!

Yup! According to this article on Business Insider:
Walmart is rolling out a new iPhone trade in deal that will likely benefit those with older iPhone models. The retail giant says it will double the regular value of your iPhone when you trade it in, but only up to $100.

This means that $200 is the maximum value you'll get if your phone is usually valued at less than $200. If it's above that, you'll get the standard trade-in value.

So, for example, if your phone is worth $100, you'll get $200. If it's worth $123, you'll still get $200 since that's the maximum. The deal is valid Oct. 5 through 18.

I wonder what they would value my 32 gb black 4 at. Its fully functional, there's just a small nick at the bottom left hand edge of the glass front piece. You'd have to look for it to notice.

Why would it sound too good to be true? You could sell your phone for that or more anyway. They aren't really offering any more than you can already get by selling it yourself.
 
I checked the deal out. What "TheRaJ" stated is true– it's copied straight from an article that I can't find at the moment lol. The deal is perfect for 4S's. My old 4S is only worth $95 normally, but will be worth $190 during the promotional. Nice.:cool:
 
Don't waste your time. It's Walmart, what do you expect? I tried to verify this all morning. NOT only is it impossible to even get anyone at ANY Walmart on Long Island to even answer the damn phone, very few stores are licensed to do trade-ins, and those that do, or answer the phone are not even aware of the program! I even called the 800 number for Walmart and they denied it was legitimate!
 
I never have luck with them on the phone, but have you tried just walking in to ask? They might just be slow to catch on.

I hate Wal-mart as much as the next guy but will absolutely be "wasting my time" on this though because at the moment no one else seems to have a better deal going on.


Edit: I heard something about walmart only selling 16 gb iphones, any truth to that? Because that would be a deal breaker.

I hope they dont drop the trade in prices in half to make it look like they're doubling the price.
But another questions is will they have any iphone 6 in stock or do you order and hope for the best. I dont want to wait a few months for it to come in.
