Doubt about buying Apple Care

I bought the mac from the US and brought it with me to India. It is still within the 1 year Limited warranty that comes with the purchase. What I'd like to clarify is on how to buy Apple care for my machine. Apple care is 100$ more expensive when buying from India.

SO, would it be possible for me to buy it from Amazon US and then use it to enable Apple care for my mac which I use in India. Would it allow me to avail Apple care from within India?

Have you checked if Amazon will ship the apple care box to india? If yes just activate the code that came with apple care and you are set for another 2 years! I believe you guys don't have an Apple Store yet. So if you need to do any warranty any premium authorize reseller will do take care of that.

Thanks aziaticlover. I've got a relative in the US so I was planning on getting him to send me the code. And you're right, there are no Apple Stores here yet but there are a couple of authorized resellers.
