iPhone XS Doubt about Calendar icon

Hi all!
One quick quesiton: on the calendar icon on your iPhone, how does the day name appears?
When I got the iPhone XS, it showed upa abbreviated (first 3 leters), while on my SE it appeared the whole name of the day.
AS of today, I noticed it also appears complete on the XS, which is kind of weird.
Any thoughts on that?

Mine shows the whole word Thursday above a large 27.

After owning an iPhone for 9 months, I've also just realized in the last few days that the clock icon shows the real time.
