Howdy all,

Just got my first mac and I want to migrate my maildir emails to an imap server on my osx 10.5. I searched around a bit and found Dovecot imap server to be my best option. However, after making the installation and installing it, configuring, all according to the manual:

http://theglide.wordpress.com/2006/10/07/mac-configuring-a-mail-server-part-1/

I am a bit stuck what to do next. According to launchctl load the .plist is loaded. I found that the dovecot user that I created indeed exists, though i seem to have lost how I can actually recheck this.

Anyways, trying to connect Thunderbird to localhost at port 143 gives the response that the connection was refused. I doubt if the server is even running.

Since I have no clue where log files might be, how to check if the program is actually running, I hope someone in here can give me a hand.
