down loading panther on a wiped hard drive

I have a powermac G4 that went south so I wiped the hard drive and tried to reinstall panther 10.3.9. on it using the install CDs but every time it says " there were errors installing the software " and please try again" this happens at the 98% point of the install are there any tips that could stop my frustration? Please help!

Is that literally what the error says? "some errors have occurred"? I find that hard to believe.

Ok thats not letter for letter

Thats not letter for letter but this is "There were errors installing the software" and under that "Please try again"
