downgrade 4.2 to 4.1 help

I have my ssh blogs for 4.0 and 4.1. backed up in Cydia.My host file is edited to redirect to Saurik's server.Yet when i option click- restore from DFU, and choose 4.01, apple kicks me out.Am i missing a step or going about this incorrectly?

Have you tried using TinyUmbrella to restore ?
