Today I downgraded my iOS from 5.1 to 5.0.1 and I have to say the battery life is amazing on it again. Very happy with the down grade I must say:)

Today i got the new iPhone 5 and there no battery its powered off thin air.... what amazing gadget!!!

.... its easy if you were jailbroken on 5.0.1. use redsn0w to "stitch" your shsh files into stock 5.0.1 firmware, and then do a normal shift+click restore in itunes.

The thread starter has a 4S per his one and only other post

That is why everyone is labeling this a troll post since we all know you cannot yet restore a 4S to older firmware

And just as a point of correction, it was possible to to save the required hash and APTicket file for 5.0.1 even if your phone was never jailbroken (via TinyUmbrella).

So, as long as you have BOTH files for your iDevice (iPhone4 and older) you can restore to 5.0.1 even if never jailbroken
