Hey guys,

I'm looking to downgrade my MBA 2013 11" from El Capitan to Mavericks, but I'm wondering what I will lose mostly.

What will happen to Photos? Will I still be able to sync photos with my iPhone, iPad on iOS 8 and iOS 9? I'm also not sure if Microsoft Office 2016 will work on Mavericks. For split screen, I'm thinking of buying an app that provides this feature, as I heard there is one. Any other things that I should know?

What about downgrading to Yosemite? Will I be able to get a longer battery life on Yosemite than El Capitan? I'm not having as good battery life as before after installing El Capitan a few months ago. I'm going to disable transparency in Yosemite, so performance won't be an issue, as I had good performance on Yosemite with that feature off.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks a bunch!

If you want to use Office 2016 you cannot go any lower than Yosemite, for Mavericks you would have to go back to Office 2011.
