Downgrade From Mac OS X 10.2 To 9

Hello,
I recently buy an iBook G3 Clamshell, but the old users of it installed Mac OS X 10.2 and as it's so much slow and I buyed it only to have an old version of Mac I want to know how I can do the downgrade to version 9?
Remember that the Mac OS 9 CD that I have is from my friend and it isn't the iBook original.

I'm not sure whether you can run a retail copy of 9 on there, or whether you'll need iBook-specific disks. It's probably best to check eBay. Please note that it's not legal to use your friend's disk unless he's actually permanently giving it to you.

I'm going to buy his disks, because he don't want they more, he buyed a MacBook Pro.

you can sure install os9 on there.....

1. boot with CD

2. Install

In that case, I'd say to try booting the disk and see whether it successfully gets to the desktop.
