Hi everyone. I was hoping someone could help me because I have been searching and trying to downgrade this iPod touch for so long.

I currently have a 1G iPod touch jailbroken on 3.1.3 and normally that would be perfect. But something is wrong with the headphone jack and it does not recognize that headphones have been inserted. Because of this the iPod will not display the volume slider. After researching I realized that this was a new feature in 3.0 and that in all prior firmware’s the volume slider always displayed.

So long story short basically I am just trying to downgrade to 2.2.1 so that the volume slider will always be visible. Right now the iPod is unusable because there is no way to turn up the volume. If it helps I am using a Mac with the latest iTunes.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me, because I am stumped.
