was thinking of Downgrading from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 but I don't have 4.3.3 shsh saved in tinyumbrella. From what I read that an iPhone 3GS on an old bootrom could be downgraded just by putting it in DFU mode and holding down shift when clicking restore in iTunes and selecting the 4.3.3 firmware. Is this true?

Thanks

No, you heard wrong.
It still needs shsh blobs.
But Apple is still releasing 4.1 for the 3GS so you could downgrade to that.

You semi-heard wrong, too. The iPhone 3G and 3G(s) old bootrom do not need SHSH blobs if you wish to downgrade to anything lower then 4.0. Anything 4.0 and beyond will need a 'soft' SHSH to get past the software search Apple implemented.

False.
iPhone 3G under 4.0 doesn't need shsh blobs but the 3GS does since day 1 it came out with 3.0 and higher shsh blobs where implemented by Apple on the 3GS.
