Is it possible to downgrade to Sequoia on a brand new MBP M4 Pro that shipped with Tahoe?

I figure it should be because the computer model supports Sequoia (if I had bought it a month ago it would have shipped with Sequoia).

If that particular model originally shipped with Sequoia, then a downgrade should be possible. May involve a little work, though...

Hmmm... if you want one with Sequoia on it, you might consider buying from the Apple online refurbished store. They'll probably remain at Sequoia for a few months more...

I asked the same question here. It might not be possible, as Tahoe updates the computer's firmware along with the OS.

My 2020 MacBook Air and 2021 Mac mini successfully downgraded to
Monterey after every upgrade from Ventura to Seq.
I had to erase, reboot via  installer hoops from the app store, but that worked, fingers crossed every time.
the weirdest, or damnedest thing was Monterey Time Machine backups never worked since sept 2023.

I hoped this solved any doubts.
