I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but is it possible to install Sonoma on a new Mini? My company won't let us run Sequoia yet, but I'm needing a new machine and I really want one of the new Minis.

No

Long answer: The latest macOS 15.1 has all the needed drivers for the M4 chip. When Sonoma was released, the system didn’t support chips that didn’t exist yet.
