Quick question. I had my 3gs serviced and hoped to receive a replacement with 3.2, however I received 4.0.1. How can I downgrade, if possible, to a OS that is JB and unlockable.

Thanks!!!

ps. love the board, been an avid reader, just never posted :)

If the previous owner of your refurbished phone had his SHSH cached on Saurik's server, it will be possible for you to downgrade. You can find out by doing the following:

1) Downloading a program called TinyUmbrella and extract the program file to your desktop or hard disk.

2) Run the program.

3) Check "Advanced Options."

4) Select "iPhone 3.1.3 (7E1H)" from the Device/Version menu.

5) Click "Save My SHSH."

If you have your SHSH on file, you will see "SHSH SUCCESSFULLY saved!" in the Log.

Otherwise, you will have to wait for a new tool to be released. One is expected within a week or so.
