I'm considering downgrading to ML on my 2012 MBP because Mavericks runs worse with every update. I've tried clean installs but that didn't help much at all. The system takes longer to boot up compared to Mountain Lion, and the dock takes an extra 10 seconds to appear on startup. Then Safari takes another 10 seconds to load. It's ridiculous and I miss Mountain Lion.

However, since it's the previous OS, is there anything I should look out for? Any features I will miss in Mavericks (besides fullscreen app stuff which I never use...)? Any security holes? Thanks

I'm running ML by choice, I've bounced back and forth several times, usually to check out the latest Mavericks update.
There is nothing you'll miss, at least that's how I feel.
I'm really not looking forward to Apple's new direction in Operating systems, maybe if I was 50 years younger and used an iPhone
