I have seen lots of comments about this and now I ran into it myself:
When trying to downgrade the baseband (because someone foolishly upgraded to 1.1.3), the Virginizer (i.phone.no) will exit with a "failed execution error".
Initially, I thought it's the standard error that's solved by making sure to have the iPhone is mounted in iTunes when jailbraking with oktoprep to 1.1.2.
However, it appears that all other apps de/install fine except for the Virginizer. That puts everyone trying to downgrade their baseband in dire straights.
The manual tutorial by George Zjlotto hasn't worked for me either (see comments). http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/2007/11/09/baseband-040213_g-secpack/
Does anyone have a solution for this? I suspect I am not the only one in this situation. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
