Alright so i got my Touch a week ago and it came with version 1.1.2. i have downloaded all the ipsw restore files but the only problem is i can't get my touch in recovery mode. I have tried at least 20 times to get it in recovery mode but it just does not work. Is there any other way to do it or and easier way?

The only way is holding the home and reset buttons until it turns off and on again then let go only of the reset button and continue holding the home button until you see the restore image (apple and plug).

There's some good tutorials on how to do this in this forum, and one of them needs to be made a sticky... this is probably the only subforum on the board with no stickies!

I got it to work without doing the restore thing. all i did was delete 7.5 itunes and download 7.4.2 itunes. It came up as firmware 1.1.1 on my itouch. went to jailbreak and got the installer app. Then just watched a youtube video and got my itouch to be jailbroken on 1.1.2
