Hey People

I converted some super 8 footage. It got recored into 1080p. but to watch it know i have to downgrade it to dvd quality. i know blue ray is the answer but yer dont have a burner.

So what is the best way to downgrade it. i tried in encore and after effect. it took ages and when i got it to the tv it was bad quality. yes i did 8 bits etc. I then found a program called media coder. and guest what that did a really good job. dont know why. only bad thing is that i had to downgrade it and then encode it again in encore.

is there any other way to get better quality? with other software?

if you could edit in this software and make fades that would be great.

Thanks

Handbreak?

Try that it seems to work well for encoding. its free. and opensourced or something dumb like that.

Compressor is good for this... assuming it will read the input file (what format?) you can make the output DVD MPEG-2 video, with Dolby Digital Professional audio.
