Downgrading from 4.0.2 without SHSH

Hi, I just got a new iphone and it comes with 4.0.2. Just wonder has anyone tried the follow link's method to downgrade to 4.0.1 or is there any other alternatives. Thank you very much for all the help.

I don't buy it. The firmware file would fail checksum validation if you modify it in any way. Just because they are "similar" doesn't help. Sounds like a scam.

I bought the iPhone 4. Thanks for the your suggestion. I may just ignore this. But please let me know if there's anyway to downgrade other than this, I really hope to get it unlock soon to use with other network and oversea. Thanks again.

Not possible. You'll have to wait until 4.1 is released and then the (hopefully) subsequent 4.1 jailbreak. Then you can hopefully jailbreak and save your SHSH. But until and if this happens, you're stuck with a stock 4.0.2 iPhone.

4.1 should have a jailbreak. If not ima be mad but an iphone is a great phone jailbroken or not

@notcom (developer of TinyUmbrella) who besides Saurik is probably the best authority on SHSH, says it's not working without hashes that were previously saved...
