Hey guys. I am really sick of being in the beta stream and I would like to know if there is a way to completely get out of it. I just want to revert to the last stable release.

I've searched high and low with no success. Unfortunately, its not an easy uninstall and reinstall like itunes or iPhoto is.

You'll need to use the recovery partition and reinstall OS X then restore your files from backup. With 10.7.2 shipping next week, I'd just wait.

You should be able to just install 10.7 directly over 10.7.2. Be sure to backup first.

Or run the reversioner (don't restart after running it) and then update to 10.7.2 GM.

If your not actually a Dev and want to get out of the beta without installing over, then download the 10.7.2 GM that was just released.

Google Mac OS X 10.7.2 goes GM – Download Links Available!, and then Download the 10.7.2 GM Combo update (not delta).

After you have that run the included Reversioner.pkg (don't restart) and then run the actual update.

Is it possible to update from 10.7.2 GM to the Final release (via Software Update) when it's released somewhere this month?

There's a revisioner with the download it'll uninstall 10.7.2.

Sorry, but that is rubbish. The reversioner is intended to fool a seed update into thinking it is installing on the latest released to public version of the OS (and this only works until the machine is restarted). It does not uninstall the beta update at all.
