Hi Guys,

I'd just like some advice on possibly downgrading my 2010 MBP from Lion to SL, I have a Time Machine back-up of SL, can I just revert to SL by restoring that part of my back-up or do I have do a complete re-install?

Thanks in advance.

You do have to do part of a clean install (wiping your HDD), but then you can restore from a TM backup you find good.

To create a Clean Install (formerly known as Erase & Install) of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (the 29 USD Upgrade DVD is a fully working retail version of Mac OS X and does not need a prior installation of Mac OS X on the Mac), follow one of the following guides:

Time Machine FAQ

Thanks for that, I am doing this as I have had nothing but trouble since I switched to Lion on my MBP, regular repairing my Hard Disk, freezing etc, my iMac is fine though, not had a problem with that.

Hope switching back to SL will resolve this issue.
