can i downgrade to OS X mavericks 10.9.5 from the os x yosemite final version??
i have downloaded and saved OS X mavericks 10.9.5 before and is in .app extension.
my macbook pro is mid 2012 and when i bought it,OS X 10.9.4 is pre installed..

The best way is to restore from a clone you made of your disk before upgrading to Yosemite (I just did that yesterday--really hated Yosemite).

I'm guessing you don't have a clone or you wouldn't be here, so if you have a TM backup you might be able to restore Mavericks from there. I've done that when I got a bad OS update but I'm not sure it will work with a completely new OS install. If not, you'll have to wipe and install Mavericks from scratch and use the migration app to add your settings, apps and docs from TM.

Start computer while holding cmd+alt+r

Whan you're done installing mavericks download 10.9.5 from the app store.

You can certainly downgrade.
Download DiscMakerX to create a bootable USB, boot from it and follow the instructions. You'll have to do a clean install though!

If you don't want to do a clean install, you'll need to do it from a Time Machine backup. You could also just manually back up your most important files and go ahead with the clean install.
