I bought a used iPhone off craigslist. Everything works, the previous owner deleted all her stuff - except for her app account. When I go to download an app, it says 'enter the apple ID password for xxx@gmail.com (her email). I've emailed her to ask her if we can meet up so she can fix it, but she hasn't responded.

How can I set up my own account?

Have you tried restoring the iPhone as new?

You have to restore it to factory settings. After that, it should be good to go. You might need her password to do that, though......
